I'm sorry that he missed the coolest part of my business card, one that would've driven him even more bonkers. If you flip it over, it says Fluent Search. So in his eyes I can't even decide on a business name, much less a dumbass card design.
Facebook should be so much better. We can do a bit. We can ask and complain and keep using Facebook until something better comes along. And just like Windows, nothing lasts forever. Facebook's dominance will begin eroding, we just need the place to jump.

Easy. Know the search volume, do some searches yourself on your subject matter. The DO optimize your SE content (a single WordPress plug-in will probably provide 90% of what you need to include for SEO). And DO use the more popular phrases and words if they are interchangeable with less popular words. And then, the most important and challenging task: WRITE KILLER CONTENT!
You don't have to comment or post immediately. In fact, the better plan is to listen for a while, get the feel of the conversation before jumping in. But DO JUMP IN, because your current position of ignoring social media is about to become a "liability of ignorance."
