Twitter Ads – Twitter Analytics: The SMB Experiment

You’ve seen them, you’ve received them, but have you tried Twitter Ads yet? Today I applied for my $25 credit and I’m going to share all the results of my experiment. What can $25 get me on Twitter that my 20k+ followers aren’t already providing?

Of course I had to enter a real CC and put some real money up to get the campaign to run. And I’m not all that enthusiastic about a $1.00 per engagment cost. But let’s see what that gets us.

Here are the numbers from my first $20.

7,152 Impressions. That’s an odd number since I have over 20k followers.

0.39% engagement rate

$0.73 per engagement

I’m not sure I can advocate this advertising method unless you are trying to break into an audience where you don’t have any reach.
